Conference Venue

The Venue

Welcome to the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, the distinguished venue for this year’s conference. Known for its architectural beauty and cultural significance, the Fundação Gulbenkian offers a setting that seamlessly blends modern sophistication with a rich heritage, making it the ideal location for our event.

Established in 1956 through the will of Calouste Sarkis Gulbenkian, an Armenian philanthropist who lived in Lisbon from 1942 until he died in 1955, the Fundação Gulbenkian is dedicated to improving the quality of life through art, science, and education. This mission is evident in every aspect of the foundation’s work and its commitment to cultural and social development.

Gulbenkian houses a museum that features the founder’s private collection, as well as a collection of modern and contemporary art. In addition, it is home to an orchestra and choir, a library and art archive, a scientific research institute, and a beautifully landscaped garden situated in the heart of Lisbon. The garden not only serves as a serene escape but also hosts various educational activities.

Beyond its cultural offerings, the Fundação Gulbenkian fulfills its mission through innovative programs that pilot new projects and support other institutions and social organizations through grants and scholarships. These initiatives reflect the foundation’s dedication to fostering creativity, knowledge, and social welfare.

During the conference, attendees will have the unique opportunity to explore the surrounding gardens and exhibitions, adding an enriching dimension to the event experience.

We anticipate an exceptional conference at this prestigious venue, where every moment is designed to inspire, engage, and foster meaningful connections.
